Ten Years On

This month millions will unite to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11. The events that took place on that fateful day shaped the early twenty-first century.

Every day news stories appear around the world about Muslims and Islam. In the UK the tabloids often express the fears and anxieties of many people about the growing numbers and influence of Muslims in Britain. But should there be anything distinctive about the way Christians respond to these issues? While some demonize Muslims and Islam, others do not see anything to be concerned about. Is there a middle way between these two extremes - a response that avoids both naivety and hostility?

With this new book, Between Naivety and Hostility edited by Steve Bell and Colin Chapman, twenty committed Christians give some helpful answers. They are all actively engaged with Muslims and aware of the realities on the ground. They all stress the need to build genuine relationships of trust and respect with Muslims.

This book will enable readers to engage with the issues and come to conclusions that might help them be better social peacemakers and spiritual friends to Muslims for the sake of Jesus Christ.
